Hello there, my name is Lizzie, and welcome to the website. 

My journey into creating and mimicking voices all started at the age of six, when a brand new family was making waves on terrestrial television in the UK, The Simpsons. I instantly became obsessed with the series and wanted to draw my favourite characters and recreate the animation style, the only problem was - I couldn't draw. However, I found that I could imitate their voices. Every day I would practice recreating scenes and then performing them to my - very patient - family. Even now, I'll still insert random Simpsons quotes into conversations (this is also a great skill for a pub quiz).

The love for recreating characters developed into a fascination for film and television production, leading me to study Broadcast Media at The University for the Creative Arts - in Maidstone, where I gained experience as a runner on the ITV1 dating show "Take Me Out" and BBC South East News.
After graduating with a First Class BA Hons degree, I intended to become a writer and studied for an MA in Children's Literature in Creative Writing at Goldsmiths University, London.

Though I loved writing and creating fictional worlds, something was missing in my career path, and so, in early 2023 I decided to get into content creation, designing a variety channel where I could showcase my character voices, whilst branching out into different areas of entertainment that still kept to the main theme of the channel, which is where the idea for Disney Miss Lizzie came along. As you may have guessed from the title, the channel is dedicated to all things Disney, offering a wide selection of content including gameplays, reviews, and an original series of crowning characters into Disney Princesses (a very serious and scientific process). 
Within more recent months, I have also adapted my very first TikTok channel - Lizzie's Voices - to accommodate impersonating TV, Film, and Game characters. One of my favourite voices to mimic are the characters from the Indie horror game Five Nights At Freddy's, there are some great voices to play around and experiment with.

Around the same time of creating Disney Miss Lizzie, I participated in an ASMR series for a global "Harry Potter" website. This is where I gained my first taste for VoiceOver, which gave me the push to enrol onto my first voice-over course from Peter Baker and Katy Brody. The course helped me to discover that I could put these voices to good use, turning it into a fun and successful career. The idea of voice acting had always been appealing to me, but I had no idea how to break in or even if I could. Surely, this profession was for the jobbing or established actor? People who were already in the know. But Peter Baker and Katy Brody showed me how to get onto the path of voiceover work and inspired me to break into the industry.

 

Outside of creating characters and content, you can find me behind the lens of a camera, listening and learning to play music, reading, watching films and television, and gaming. 

I am based in Kent with my husband, family, and beloved pets.
